The corresponding certification of products and businesses as “climate-neutral” or “environmentally friendly” is issued by test institutes such as the TÜV or DEKRA We help organise the awarding of this seal for you and guide you in selecting the required climate protection projects.
The proven, sustainable projects that we present to you over many years not only fit your corporate ideology and strategy, but focus on the people who are supported by offset measures along with specific environmental aspects.
As a result, we work with non-monetary certification partners under contractual conditions, as our goal is to ensure that the income from offset measures really goes where it is needed.
CERTIFICATION OF CLIMATE PROTECTION PROJECTS
Various standards exist for the climate protection projects you can support through us. Independent institutions therefore inspect the use and quality of the projects and certify them. The two most common standards are “Verified Carbon Standard” (VCS) and “Gold Standard”. Both are available through DESLY and meet the criteria and requirements of the Kyoto Protocol and Paris Convention. Corresponding certificates on CO2-offsetting are transferred over-the-counter on the voluntary market.
It is only guaranteed that you are supporting effective climate protection if CO2 certificates are certified by recognised institutes such as VCS and Gold Standard and are not repeatedly issued. The certificates are then closed permanently. For VCS, as the most important standard, the organisation Verra has a global database (Registry) in which purchased certificates and be entered and checked for their validity. DESLY is a member of Verra and has direct access to all services relating to VCS and VCU certificates.
